Attorney Positions

Associate Attorney - Dallas Office

This is a full-time role located in Dallas, TX for an Associate Attorney. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating, and assisting with labor and employment law matters. The Associate Attorney will also be responsible for attending court proceedings and depositions, drafting pleadings, and appearing in state and federal courts. Are you a legal professional with a passion for insurance coverage, professional liability, business and commercial litigation, or medical malpractice? Cooper and Scully P.C. at our Dallas location is looking to expand our team and we want YOU to join us!

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • Practicing attorney with minimum three-five years’ experience
  • Strong legal knowledge, experience and/or interest in the following areas of practice: insurance coverage, professional liability, business and commercial litigation, or medical malpractice.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Experience in negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in federal and state courts is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional Staff Positions

Legal Assistant - Dallas Office

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and legal skills, and experience in E-filing in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including calendaring, scheduling, and preparing correspondence.
Manage and maintain case files, including preparing documents, organizing exhibits, and tracking deadlines.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
Assist with E-filing in both state and federal courts.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with E-filing in both state and federal courts.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
