Carrie T. Carter
Carrie is a senior attorney in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully. She focuses her practice in the areas of insurance law and commercial litigation. Carrie has extensive experience in coverage and bad faith litigation. She has the exceptional ability to work together with the client to identify the client’s goal in the litigation and to formulate creative and ingenious strategies to accomplish those goals. Carrie’s creativity is not limited to the court room. With her commercial clients, she has the ability to identify risks associated with their business and offer them various risk-transfer mechanisms. Clients have come to rely on her skill and experience in addressing potential liabilities both before litigation, and after. Her background includes all areas of commercial litigation including contractual disputes, fiduciary duty, securities fraud, and shareholder derivative class actions. Carrie is a frequent speaker and author in all areas of coverage and commercial litigation.
Carrie is originally from Austin. She is involved in Rainbow Days, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on breaking the cycles of abuse, dysfunction, homelessness and poverty for children in adversity. Her passion is in equipping children with the life skills they need to be successful. She and her husband have two daughters, Caroline and Elizabeth.
