Cooper & Scully Attorneys Named Among Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars

Cooper & Scully attorneys John Faubion and Bryan Giribaldo have been named to the 2022 Texas Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list. 

Super Lawyers is an annual list of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selection for Super Lawyers includes peer nominations, a blue-ribbon panel review process and independent research on candidates.

The Rising Stars list consists of the state’s top young attorneys. Candidates must be 40 years old or younger, or have practiced for 10 years or less.

John Faubion is a Shareholder in the firm’s Austin office. John’s practice covers all aspects of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, settlement, mediation, and jury trials.  He serves as lead counsel for business and commercial clients in seven-figure disputes and provides first chair representation to physicians before the Texas Medical Board.  He is also an essential part of the Cooper & Scully team defending physicians and major hospital systems from complex medical malpractice claims.

Bryan Giribaldo is an Associate in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully.  Bryan concentrates his practice on insurance litigation and coverage disputes, as well as complex business and commercial litigation.  He focuses his specialty in first-party property insurance litigation, and has taken or defended hundreds of depositions, including defending the depositions of dozens of corporate representatives for one of Florida’s largest property insurers, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.  Mr. Giribaldo also has extensive experience in conducting hearings and mediations, obtaining dispositions or resolutions of over one hundred cases on behalf of insurance companies.  In conjunction with his litigation efforts, Mr. Giribaldo has significant experience interpreting insurance contracts and providing counsel on how insurance contracts can be interpreted, including their impact on insurance litigation both generally and specific to each case.
