Clarissa is an associate in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully, P.C. She defends clients in a wide array of practice areas including premises liability, product liability, and personal injury.
Clarissa was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas earning her B.B.A in Finance and Insurance Risk Management. Clarissa went on to participate in the joint J.D. and M.B.A. program at the Texas Tech School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, graduating cum laude. During law school, Clarissa was awarded the top grade award in Evidence and Professional Responsibility. She also served as a Staff Editor, Articles Editor, and on the plagiarism committee for the Texas Tech School of Law Administrative Law Journal and the Vice Chair of Administration on the Board of Barristers Executive Board. During her time in law school she served as judicial intern to the Honorable Judge Kathleen Cardone, U.S. District Court Judge for the Western District of Texas and Judge Anne T. Berton, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Texas.
Clarissa has extensive experience taking and defending depositions, conducting mediations, and obtaining dispositions or resolutions of cases with varying complexity.
In her free time, Clarissa enjoys spending time with her husband and miniature golden doodle, traveling, and baking. She also enjoys volunteering her time in the Dallas community through the Junior League of Dallas.
