Luke Bezney is an associate in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully, P.C. His practice area focuses on healthcare litigation, medical malpractice, construction litigation, complex business and commercial litigation, and personal injury matters.
Luke obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University and his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law. During law school, Luke worked as a student attorney at SMU Dedman School of Law’s Civil and Consumer Clinic, helping represent the North Texas community in property disputes, Deceptive Trade Practice litigation, construction litigation, and collection disputes. Luke also served as the Vice President of Hosting for SMU Dedman School of Law Board of Advocates during his third year of law school, bringing national advocacy competitions back to SMU campus and helping spotlight SMU Dedman School of Law’s advocacy program on the national stage.
Prior to joining Cooper & Scully, P.C., Luke gained experience beyond his age, interning with Bon Secours Mercy Health’s legal department, one of the largest non-profit healthcare providers in the country and obtained sophistication in personal injury matters, construction litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation throughout his various legal internships during law school.
Luke is a proud brother and man of principle of Beta Theta Pi National Fraternity. Outside the office, Luke enjoys traveling with his wife and being an outdoorsman. His favorite hobbies include fishing, hunting, and skiing, and he is an avid sports fan.
