Tara Sohlman’s practice focuses on litigation, arbitration, contracts, insurance coverage, business and employment questions, and assisting clients with resolving legal questions and properly protecting themselves against future liability. Her practice encompasses a broad range of law and includes the following areas: construction defect litigation, construction law, commercial litigation, personal injury, premises liability, insurance coverage, and general litigation.
Tara has handled and/or participated in numerous jury trials, arbitrations and bench trials from inception through appeal. Her experience includes serving as lead counsel in multi-party construction defect litigation, including cases involving more than 25 parties. She has also assessed and addressed insurance policy issues relating to the insured’s right to a defense and indemnity, coverage of the damage, and a carrier’s right of recovery. She works to achieve great results in an efficient manner for her clients.
In addition to her litigation practice, Tara works with her clients to protect them in business and personal dealings through contracts, negotiations, improving their business practices, and being proactive in resolving issues or disputes. She has prepared and analyzed numerous contracts for her clients for business relationships, including master agreements, business transactions, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, homeowners’ associations, and many other types of agreements. She utilizes her knowledge and experience to help her clients achieve their goals and protect them against potential future liability. Her clients have included home builders, general contractors, developers, subcontractors, engineers, architects, insurance companies, manufacturing entities, medical providers, retail stores, and other businesses.
Outside of work, Tara’s life revolves around her daughter, who keeps her extremely busy with her activities and school events. In their spare time, her family enjoys spending time with friends and family and takes numerous camping trips throughout the United States.
