Evan Scott is an associate in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully, P.C.  Prior to joining Cooper & Scully, Evan represented corporate clients in personal and professional liability, product liability, construction litigation, mass torts, and employment matters.  Evan is experienced in high exposure cases, having previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago’s Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division, and achieved successful outcomes at trial for the City and its taxpayers.  Evan also formerly served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Pamela McLean Meyerson in the chancery division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Evan attended the University of Missouri where he received his B.A. in philosophy while earning a varsity letter on the university’s track & field team.  He went on to earn his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  While in law school, Evan was the Lead Articles Editor for the Marquette University Intellectual Property Law Review.  He also served as treasurer for the Marquette University chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA).

As a transplant to Texas, Evan spends his time rooting for Chicago sports teams and exploring restaurants and outdoor spaces in the DFW area.
