Julie M. Koenig
Julie is a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney in the Houston office of Cooper & Scully. She is proud to serve her community with over 26 years of legal expertise. Her legal practice consists primarily of bankruptcy and related matters, both for creditors, debtors and Trustees. She handles Chapter 7, 11 & 13 Bankruptcies for both individuals and businesses and Adversary Proceedings in the Federal Bankruptcy Court. She also represents Chapter 7 & 11 Trustees. She has filed over 70 business and individual Chapter 11 Bankruptcies and has handled over 1,400 cases in the Federal Bankruptcy Courts.
Julie is a former member of the Houston Women's Bankruptcy Conference and a member and former Secretary/Treasurer and former Vice President of the Houston Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, f/k/a the Houston Association of Debtor's Attorneys. She is a distinguished speaker and has presented topics at many seminars, including the International Bankruptcy Seminar.
Julie was an associate attorney for J. Craig Cowgill & Associates, P.C. from 1989 until 1998 when she formed her own private practice. She remained in private practice until 2001 when she formed a partnership with Rodney Tow as Tow & Koenig, PLLC. On September 30, 2014, Rodney Tow semi-retired, leaving the practice of law except for his position as a Chapter 7 Trustee and a mediator. Julie subsequently joined Cooper & Scully, PC. on December 1, 2014.
