Bio

Benjamin (Ben) Passey is an associate in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully, P.C. He focuses his practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation.

Ben was born in North Texas, but spent his formative years living in Brussels, Belgium. He attended Brigham Young University, earning a B.A. in History and Africana Studies in 2018. While at Brigham Young University, Ben received a scholarship to study Haitian Creole, a language he learned during the two years he spent doing fulltime community outreach in South Florida. He attended the George Washington University Law School, graduating in 2021 with an emphasis in business and finance. During law school, Ben was a member of the Journal of Energy and Environmental Law and participated in moot court and negotiations competitions. In addition to his law school activities, he interned in the Office of Rulemaking at the Securities and Exchange Commission and worked as a law clerk at a boutique securities firm.

Outside of his legal work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as reading, traveling, and hiking.
