Heather N. Blumberg is a shareholder in the insurance coverage section of the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully. Her practice centers on insurance coverage litigation, with particular focus on coverage related to construction. She has represented both policyholders and insurance carriers in disputes involving coverage for additional insureds, general liability, primary and excess coverage, and bad faith.
Prior to joining Cooper & Scully, Ms. Blumberg represented builders and developers in construction defect litigation. As part of her construction practice, Ms. Blumberg has experience both defending and prosecuting claims and managing large multi-party litigation from inception to completion.
Ms. Blumberg received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2010 from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the International Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Blumberg served as a judicial intern to Justice Kerry Fitzgerald of the Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas at Dallas. In 2006, Ms. Blumberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin.
Ms. Blumberg is admitted to practice law in Texas and New York.
When she is not working, Ms. Blumberg enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their cat Graybeard. She also enjoys reading, writing, hiking, traveling, drinking coffee and riding horses.
