Stewart G. (“Stu”) Milch is a senior attorney in our Dallas office and has nearly 30 years of legal experience handling appeals and critical motions in state and federal courts.
Stu protects the rights of clients in complex and high-exposure cases, including trucking and motor vehicle accidents, construction site accidents, premises liability, products liability, and other risky cases. He also focuses his practice on professional liability, directors and officers liability, insurance brokerage claims disputes, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, tortious interference with business relationships, and a wide range of other commercial and business litigation.
Stu has briefed and argued more than 100 appeals in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, California, Oklahoma, and several federal circuit courts to preserve hard-fought victories or overturn unfavorable outcomes.
Stu earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He has also worked as an adjunct professor of legal writing at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law. He is an accomplished writer, has taught legal writing, and self-published a legal writing handbook.
He is also just as competitive outside the office as he is inside the courtroom — he participates in Camp Gladiator workouts several times a week, competes in Spartan events, and runs short-distance races.
