Stopping Creditors in Their Tracks

By: Julie Koenig

The creditor letters, the constant phone calls, the threats of foreclosure and repossession -this harassment is intimidating and it has to end.  We can help you stop your creditors in their tracks and overcome your crushing debt by filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

We recognize the stress and anxiety that creditors place on you when you are unable to pay your debts.  Regardless of your life circumstances, your bills will continue to pile up without a viable way of paying them back. Fortunately, you may find the relief you need when you file for bankruptcy.

One of the most significant immediate benefits of bankruptcy is the relief you get from all collection activity and creditor harassment. As soon as legal counsel has been retained, you are able to refer all of your creditors to your attorney and your creditors cannot contact you again. When your bankruptcy is filed with the court, an automatic stay goes into effect that will:

  • Stop creditor harassment (phone, in-person visits, letters)
  • Stop lawsuits
  • Stop garnishments
  • Stop levies
  • Stop liens
  • Stop repossessions
  • Stop foreclosures

Once you file for bankruptcy, it is unlawful for a creditor to harass you. When you consult with us, we will help you learn about the differing bankruptcy chapters, including the bankruptcy basics, as well as address your concerns, such as what happens to you property during bankruptcy. Let us help you get back on the road to financial freedom.  You can contact Julie Koenig at 713/236-6825 or at Julie.Koenig@cooperscully.com to schedule your initial consultation.  The initial consultation is at no charge and lasts approximately one hour.

We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
